Overview

EZBOL is a freight paperwork app for truck drivers. It helps you scan, review, and send documents such as bills of lading, proof of delivery, rate confirmations, and receipts.

This policy explains what information EZBOL handles, where it is stored, and when it may leave your device.

Information You Put In The App

EZBOL may handle the following information when you use the app:

• Scanned freight documents and document photos.
• PDF files created from your scanned pages.
• Load numbers and document types.
• Broker names, broker email addresses, CC addresses, phone numbers, and notes that you add.
• Email subject lines, email body text, and your optional email signature.
• Your selected app language and app settings.
• Recent send history, including broker name, document type, load number, email details, PDF file name, page count, and file size.

Camera And Document Access

EZBOL asks for camera access so you can scan freight paperwork. The app does not record audio. The app may also let you choose existing document images from your phone when that option is available.

Local Storage On Your Device

EZBOL stores most app information on your device. This includes your selected broker, load number, document type, language, settings, custom brokers, recent send history, scanned page images, and generated PDF files.

Scanned pages are saved in the app's local document storage so you can review them and create a PDF. PDF files are saved locally so you can send, share, or resend them from recent history.

Email Sending

EZBOL opens your phone's email app with your paperwork attached. Your email app sends the email. Mark Tishkun does not operate an email server for this feature.

When you send paperwork, your broker and email provider will receive the information you choose to send, including the PDF attachment, recipients, subject, and email body.

Document Check And AI

EZBOL includes document check features. Some checks run on your device, such as local scan quality checks and text recognition.

If you turn on or run the cloud AI document check, EZBOL may send selected scanned pages to Firebase AI Logic and Google Gemini for analysis. The app currently selects up to three pages from a document for this check. The AI check looks for items such as unreadable scans, missing signatures, and missing dates.

AI check results are shown in the app. The app code does not save the AI result in your persistent app history. Cloud AI processing is handled by Google and Firebase services.

Important: How Google Handles Your Data on the Free Tier

EZBOL currently uses Google's free-tier Gemini API. Per Google's published terms for the free tier:

• Submitted content (the scanned page images you send for analysis) and Google's responses may be used by Google to provide, improve, and develop Google's products and machine learning technologies.
• Human reviewers at Google may read, annotate, and process submitted content and AI responses.
• Google advises against submitting sensitive, confidential, or personal information through the free-tier service.

We are sharing this information so you can decide whether to use the cloud AI document check. If you do not want your documents processed by Google or potentially reviewed by human reviewers, do not turn on cloud AI document check. The rest of EZBOL works fully without it.

We are working to move EZBOL to Google's paid Gemini API tier, which has different data handling terms. When this change is made, we will update this Privacy Policy.

Firebase App Check

When cloud AI check is used, EZBOL may use Firebase App Check to help protect the service from abuse. App Check may process device and app integrity signals. This helps confirm that requests are coming from a real app installation.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not require an EZBOL account.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use advertising trackers in the app.
• We do not use your documents for advertising.
• We do not operate a backend server for storing your documents.
• We do not ask for payment information in the current version.
• We do not ask for location access in the current version.

Support Emails

If you contact support, we receive the email address you use and the information you include in your message. Please do not send sensitive paperwork to support unless we ask for it and you choose to send it.

Service Providers

EZBOL may rely on third-party services and SDKs to provide app functions, including:

• Apple and iOS services, such as camera, mail, sharing, and document scanning features.
• Google ML Kit and Android document scanning features.
• Firebase App Check, Firebase AI Logic, and Google Gemini when cloud AI document check is used.
• Expo and React Native libraries used to run app features on your device.

Data Retention

Local app data stays on your device until you delete it, change it, delete the app, or your device operating system removes it. Recent send history is limited in the app.

Emails and attachments sent through your email app are controlled by your email provider and the recipients you choose.

Your Choices

• You can deny camera access, but scanning will not work without camera access.
• You can choose not to use cloud AI document check.
• You can edit or delete custom brokers in the app.
• You can edit email details before sending.
• You can delete the app to remove local app data from your device.

Children

EZBOL is made for truck drivers and freight work. It is not made for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable steps to protect the app and its services. No app, device, email system, or internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy when EZBOL changes. If we make important changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
